Here we are . . .

I slept good last night. What a blessing it is to sleep. The night before I had an bummer of a night. Well, It is nice to be awake and alert. So what are you doing today? I have been listening to they guy named Craig at http://www.lifechruch.tv/ . The current series has been a real encouragement. I hope you get the time to listen to his thought on being a warrior. I have the day off from Busch's. I am still having fun working there. I hope to get a raise by the end of the month. I am at Busch's by God's direct activity in my life. I am there to learn something I could not learn any other place. I an loving the education. By the way, it is the first time I think that I have not had to pay to go to school. Not really, but I am enjoying this preparation. I have to get ready to go to my next class. I am happy to be here today. Have a wonderful day. Peace

Hitting a low, or should I be saying a HIGH????

OK, here it goes. I am 317 lbs. OUCH. I hate being the fat guy. I must wake up and get moving, away from the table and out for a walk. The odd thing is I am a skinny man trapped in a fat mans body. I do not see myself as the fat guy, but, I know it when I try to do something, or when I see a photo of myself. It is time for a change. I asking the man in the mirror, it is time to make a change. Well, there it is, you now know that I am a overweight man. I will find the skinny man and allow him to come out. I have enjoyed the Biggest Looser this year. I would like to go and save my life. Well, feeling kinda close to gravity. Peace

Monday, Monday . . .

Just how do we approach the beginning of the week. Or the beginning of the work week? Where did we get the name Monday. It appears that Monday has a connection to the moon, as in Moon day. I thought it had something to do with monotonous day. The day we get back on the treadmill and begin the race again. There is no denying the facts, that the days of the week coincide with Greek and Roman gods and goddesses, or with astrological planets. Here is an interesting link - http://webexhibits.org/calendars/week-connotations.html How do you approach Mondays? I am not in the hate camp. I like to get things going.
Here is a new thought. Just when does a day begin? I know it is mere semantics, or a play on thoughts. But why do we end our day with sleep? This was an issue posed to me this weekend. Why don't we begin our day with sleep. Strange I know. But what would happen if we changed this thought in our head. What if we chose to begin our day, when we ended our last day. Just before we close our eyes, we acknowledge the end of the one day, and the embarking on the new day.
I also saw a piece on America and the epidemic of sleep deprivation. Do we actually get enough sleep? That is the question. I am guilty of not going to bed soon enough, and then finding out that my day is beginning to early. So, I am going to give this new way a try. I have also heard that there is a link to being overweight and the lack of sleep, and lets just say, I could use a lot more sleep. Is there something in the old adage that says, everyone needs their beauty sleep. Maybe I would be kinder if I had more sleep. I would become more beautiful to those around me if I had more sleep. Well, I know these are random thoughts, but I want to share them with you all. Have a wonderful Monday. I am blessed by God and I continue to find satisfaction in HIM. Peace
Is it rest or just sleep, another issue, for another blog . . .

Friends are AWESOME . . .

It was nice to connect with friends last night. I am truly a blessed man. We sat, laughed and enjoyed each others company for the span of two hours. It was refreshing to hear that life was good for them. I am encouraged by spending time with others. How about you? Do your friends and friendships give you energy and encouragement? I hope so. Peace

Monday . . .

Good morning World - Spring Break for us is now officially over. I am so glad to be back to work. There is just something about work that is satisfying. I miss the routine as well. A friend gave me a gift. Don't you just love unexpected gifts. It is an Eskimo proverb - "may you have warmth in your igloo, oil in your lamp, and peace in your heart". I love it. It is on a magnet. So cool. I love this person. They are a wonderful asset to my world and life. Do you have people in your life that just give you hope and joy? Are you the type of person that is that person in someone else's life? It is time for us to move from "MEism" to "OTHERism" or at the least "USism", or better yet "WEism".

My break was wonderful. I only had to work at Busch's over the week. I am almost done with my 90 day probationary period. I am so thankful. Not to mention, I should receive some type of raise. This work that I am doing at Busch's is not about the pay. But it is about the pay. I am here to learn something about me, about the world and about God's greatest love - People. It has been an amazing learning opportunity already. I am so blessed. I have to run to class now, have a wonderful day. I will blog again soon. PEACE.

A Day of Rest . . .

What is a day of rest? Is a day of rest a day without activity? Is it sleeping? Is it watching all the games during March Madness? insert - "GO STATE", here. Can you rest and not sleep? Can you sleep and not rest? Can sleep be restless? I did eat pizza before I went to bed last night, so that may explain my crazy dreams. What do you do to rest? What is it that refreshes your soul? and renews your energy? I know that I rest like no other when I am going a tad over the speed limit (wink, wink) on my brothers motorcycle. I also know that I am refreshed after I spend an hour out on the lake kicking the jet ski. You know what, I also like to write. I love to chat with people that are hurting, that provides me energy. I love to come alongside of people that have lost their way. That is where my soul finds breath. God has made me to identify with people in the midst of the struggle. Wow, how did I get here in my train of thought? I must tell you nothing new, I live on the rabbit trail.

I trust you are well. I am praying for you. Have a wonderful Easter. Jesus is alive, he is Risen, he is not in the tomb. Christ is risen, he is risen indeed.
